52 Week Challenge – Week 17 Simple

So you would think this week’s theme would be “simple” enough to complete but sadly I just didn’t have the time to get out and shoot my “simple” theme.  I am pulling one from the session I had last week with my favorite girl. :)

Be sure to check out Carrie Hyche – Wheatland, WY photographer from Heart of the West for her beautiful take on “Simple”. :)

52 Week Challenge – Week 16 Colorful

For this week’s theme I took my favorite “colorful” muse out to for a photo shoot…  Well I have to say that these are not the most “colorful” but I do love the feel of them and I just adore her “colorful” personality!  Since we had such a good time with this session I will be sharing lots more  in the next few days.:)

52 Week Challenge – Week 15 Fruit

What can I say????  The last two weeks I have been a bit of a “slacker” when it comes to the 52 week challenge….I am blaming it on the 50 Shades of Grey books!;)Needless to say the photos I took for this week’s challenge did not get edited in time so I am using two from this fall for our theme of “Fruit”…..

** just an F.Y.I….if you decide to read the 50 Shades of Grey series be prepared for some pretty “steamy” reading! LOL!;)

Now go check out the fabulous Elizabeth McDonough of Elizabeth McDonough Photography from North Carolina for her beautiful take on this weeks challenge!

52 Week Challenge – Week 13 Pastel

I wasn’t quite sure what to do for this week’s theme…..flowers?  misc. pastel items around my home?  I just couldn’t quite wrap my brain around what to do.  I am not functioning on all levels these days…our adorable puppy has me up two to three times a night (usually starting at 1:00 am and then 3:30am..etc..).  I love her but what I wouldn’t give for a full nights sleep!  Anyway….with my foggy brain I just couldn’t figure out what to do so luckily Izzy came up with this idea!  A bit silly but it works (I think?). ;)

Now go check out fellow Chicago photographer (who is fabulous!) Elaine Melko Photography for her take on our Pastel theme!

KarenApril 4, 2012 - 10:28 am

kate, you always come up with the most stylish, beautiful, colorful, put-together themed shoots. the easter eggs in the nest could easily be the front of a card. and the mask is so cool, and gorgeous pastel tones. i hope you are doing or plan to do product shots :)

Laurie SchultzApril 4, 2012 - 1:07 pm

These are gorgeous! I love them both and love how your daughters bunny mask is sparkling! :)

Sarah PhillipsApril 4, 2012 - 3:33 pm

I understand your feeling not sleeping well at night, because I have insomnia problems for many years, that is really uncomfortable. Hope you have good sleep since then.

kmApril 8, 2012 - 8:23 pm

your pastels are so pretty!!! of course! everything you do has a bits of MAGIC!!!! I understand the foggy haze of no sleep. I’m going on about 4 hours a night these days… oh my! :) maybe we could take a tropical vacation and sleep on the beach all day long… hehehehe.. doesn’t that sound heavenly?

YvonneApril 10, 2012 - 5:19 pm
