Unfortunately, all three of my kids have had a lovely case of the stomach flu last week so I was not able to participate in week 6′s challenge (I am hoping to make it up at some point).  Thankfully it seems that everyone is finally over the nasty bug. 

This week’s theme is “ruffles”.  I wasn’t quite sure what to do for this one.  I have to say my creative juices just weren’t flowing…ultimately I wound up with my girl in one of her favorite ruffled tops (this top has made numerous appearances on the blog).

Here is to a new year and new resolutions….I am going to give the 52 Week Challenge another try.  I only lasted a few weeks last year but this year I am determined to see it through.  I am with a wonderful group of photographers that will hopefully keep me accountable.    Our first theme is “Morning”.

First thing EVERY morning my 4 year old asks to play my iPad so here he is early in the morning, crazy bed head and all!

I had high hopes of getting Izzy outside for a photo session but it’s just been too cold.  Our friend Lisa at Castlegate created this fabulous hat and I had some specific ideas of how I wanted Izzy to model it but the weather changed our plans.  So…we tried our best to make the indoors work for us.  I have to say that this first image is my favorite from this session.
