Nothing Much…..

Nothing much going on with us…..we are just waiting for spring to arrive and sadly we have a ways to go…..

Thanks so much to Lisa of Castlegate for Izzy’s adorable crocheted headband.  Make sure you check out her site for adorable hats and headbands.  She also has an etsy site you can check out as well!  :)

52 Week Challenge – Week 7 Ruffles

Unfortunately, all three of my kids have had a lovely case of the stomach flu last week so I was not able to participate in week 6′s challenge (I am hoping to make it up at some point).  Thankfully it seems that everyone is finally over the nasty bug.  :)

This week’s theme is “ruffles”.  I wasn’t quite sure what to do for this one.  I have to say my creative juices just weren’t flowing…ultimately I wound up with my girl in one of her favorite ruffled tops (this top has made numerous appearances on the blog).

Now head on over to Erath County, Texas  fabulous Photographer, Traca Miller’s site to check out her ruffles post!

V-Day Hats….

Since I could not get my girlie to cooperate, I thought I would share the fabulous Miss P once again with her oh so cute Valentine’s Day hat.  The pattern is from my AMAZING friend Joy of Snazziedrawers.  Be sure to check out her site!  She is so talented and she has the most incredible patterns that require some sewing skills and others that require none.  There is something for everyone!

I have shared these before but since it’s Valentine’s Day I thought I would share them again….thanks Snazziedrawers!

Impossible….

Getting photos of my kiddos these days is near to impossible….The amount of complaining and carrying on when I ask them for a photo shoot is just crazy!  This day was no exception…..I had to beg Izzy to go out with me for a few minutes.  Apparently is was FREEZING outside, you would have thought she was in Siberia (it was 40 degrees, which is pretty nice for the Chicago area in winter)!!!!  Needless to say this was a VERY short session….Oh well…no Valentine’s Day session for us this year…. ;)

52 Week Challenge – Week 4 Pink

This weeks theme of “pink” was my excuse to get myself some pretty pink tulips.  ;)   They definitely have me longing for spring!  Since we are so close to Valentine’s Day I figured I would snap one of some candy hearts my kiddos left out.  Not terribly exciting but there is pink!

Now go check out Portland, Oregon photographer Marla Misclevitz’s take on pink!  :

Before/After….

I am one of those mom’s who prefers her kiddos hair on the longer side but let’s face it…their hair was way out of control and long overdue for a haircut….All three of my kiddos decided they wanted their hair cut much shorter than I would have preferred but I gave in….It’s only hair after all and it will grow (I hope)…  :)

I know the grandmas will be happy about the haircuts!  :)

52 Week Challenge – Week 3 Emotion

Unfortunately I could not get my act together to shoot new images this week for my 52 Week Challenge – Emotion but thought I would share this one as an alternative.  The “emotions” in this photo make me smile.  Here we have one kiddo who seems sweet and innocent, one who looks a little crazy with laughter (because she thought it was funny to drive her little brother CRAZY) and the little guy who is terribly upset (because of his big sister).  This is pretty typical in my house… There is always one innocent party, one guilty and one overly emotional! :)

*F.Y.I.  all Izzy did to set her little brother off was call him a “cutie pie”.  Apparently he did not appreciate the compliment.  ;)

Be sure to head on over to  the fabulous Michaelle Janet - Houston/Cypress, Texas Photographer’s site to check out her “Emotion” post!
