52 Week Challenge – Week 10 Green

Since this week’s theme is green, I figured the easiest thing to do would be to photograph my kiddos in their St. Patrick’s Day attire. Izzy picked out her headband specifically to have her photo taken with her fellow Leprechaun, Millie the pug.  There is nothing original or terribly exciting about these photos but they are definitely keeping with the theme of green! ;)

Be sure to check out Katy, Texas photographer Tiffany Anderson of Tiffany Anderson Photography for her take on our green theme! :)

52 Week Challenge – Week 9 Close Up

We are so thrilled that our new pug puppy Millie Mae Bogot has arrived home two weeks sooner than we thought!!!!!  We absolutely adore her.  She is twelve weeks old and she is just as sweet as can be!!!

This weeks assignment for my 52 Week Challenge is “Close Up”.  What better subject than our new puppy Millie???  I am sure you will be seeing lots of her on my blog these days!:)

Be sure to check out Sarah Phillips, of MG Design Photography, Lincoln, CA for her take on our “Close Up” theme.  Her images are breathtaking!

KarenMarch 7, 2012 - 2:49 pm

Wow, lots of puppies around here. I’ll have to hide these posts from my kids. :) These are so adorable and love the shots of her paw, tail and ear. Very, very cute.

Awwww! He looks like he’s fitting in just fine! Such a cute puppy and makes me want to go out and get one again for my kids.

A New Family Member….

We lost our sweet, wonderful pug Buster last July due to illness.  We were heartbroken and I wasn’t quite sure how long it would take for us to be ready to add a new dog to our family.  Well it looks like the time has come.  We met this darling little girl a few days ago and instantly fell in love.  We can not wait until she is a member of our family.  She is currently twelve weeks old and our breeder said she will let her come home when she is 14 weeks.  This is going to be the longest two weeks of our lives. :)  My kiddos are soooo excited for her arrival!   Of course our two wonderful pugs (Bubba & Buster) will never be forgotten but we are thrilled to once again have a puppy in the house.

Here is our sweet Millie!  Sorry for the poor quality of the photos all I had with me was my iphone….

JodiMarch 2, 2012 - 6:23 pm

CONGRATS Bogot fam … we’re all so happy for you! I’m sure once our kiddos see that sweet sweet face they’ll be on us to get a dog too :) Can’t wait to meet little Millie!!! :)

esther alvarezMarch 2, 2012 - 6:32 pm

What a cute looking puppy! I hope the new addition to your family loves his new home. It’s going to be a tough couple of weeks while you wait for him.

kmMarch 7, 2012 - 10:26 pm

Are the kiddos just IN LOVE or what?? I love her name! I love her sweetness.

Nothing Much…..

Nothing much going on with us…..we are just waiting for spring to arrive and sadly we have a ways to go…..

Thanks so much to Lisa of Castlegate for Izzy’s adorable crocheted headband.  Make sure you check out her site for adorable hats and headbands.  She also has an etsy site you can check out as well! :)

Terry McKaigFebruary 27, 2012 - 6:28 pm

52 Week Challenge – Week 7 Ruffles

Unfortunately, all three of my kids have had a lovely case of the stomach flu last week so I was not able to participate in week 6′s challenge (I am hoping to make it up at some point).  Thankfully it seems that everyone is finally over the nasty bug. :)

This week’s theme is “ruffles”.  I wasn’t quite sure what to do for this one.  I have to say my creative juices just weren’t flowing…ultimately I wound up with my girl in one of her favorite ruffled tops (this top has made numerous appearances on the blog).

Now head on over to Erath County, Texas  fabulous Photographer, Traca Miller’s site to check out her ruffles post!

V-Day Hats….

Since I could not get my girlie to cooperate, I thought I would share the fabulous Miss P once again with her oh so cute Valentine’s Day hat.  The pattern is from my AMAZING friend Joy of Snazziedrawers.  Be sure to check out her site!  She is so talented and she has the most incredible patterns that require some sewing skills and others that require none.  There is something for everyone!

I have shared these before but since it’s Valentine’s Day I thought I would share them again….thanks Snazziedrawers!

esther alvarezFebruary 15, 2012 - 5:54 pm

Me encantan tus sombreros y tus fotos, como siempre.
¿Kate, te han llegado mis e-mails?

KmFebruary 18, 2012 - 6:51 pm

Ohhh so lovely!!!! Gorgeous!

RossFebruary 19, 2012 - 7:30 am

Such a stunning shot of this girl! I would love to find out some of the tricks of your trade because your shots are truly amazing like no others I’ve seen before!

Impossible….

Getting photos of my kiddos these days is near to impossible….The amount of complaining and carrying on when I ask them for a photo shoot is just crazy!  This day was no exception…..I had to beg Izzy to go out with me for a few minutes.  Apparently is was FREEZING outside, you would have thought she was in Siberia (it was 40 degrees, which is pretty nice for the Chicago area in winter)!!!!  Needless to say this was a VERY short session….Oh well…no Valentine’s Day session for us this year….;)

Jodi DoigFebruary 9, 2012 - 6:49 pm

STUNNING … Izzy looks as beautiful as always! :) What a fabulous crown!!!

KmFebruary 12, 2012 - 1:08 am

You would never know by her beauty that she didn’t want to be in front of the camera!!!!!! I think it has got to be pretty challenging to be the child of a photographer sometimes. We are so crazy and want to take pics alllll the time. :) . But with the challenge comes the greatest gift. They will have memories that we never did… Because we recorded them on “film”… They will Have thousands of beautiful pictures of their youthful beauty! My parents didn’t take many pics of me… So I don’t even REALLY know how I looked at certain ages! Enough ramble! Tell this beautiful girl that we ppreciate it whenever she poses for you!!!!! Xoxoxo
